AWS Immersion Day

AWS Immersion Days are one or two-day workshops offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help customers learn about specific AWS services and use cases. The workshops are typically held on-site, but can also be delivered virtually.

Each Immersion Day is led by an AWS expert who is knowledgeable in the service or use case being covered. They guide participants through a combination of hands-on exercises, demonstrations, and presentations, and also provide best practices and real-world examples to help attendees better understand how to use AWS to solve their specific business challenges.

Immersion Days are designed to be highly interactive and collaborative, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions, engage in discussions, and share their own experiences and insights. They can be customized to fit the specific needs of each customer and can cover a wide range of topics, including machine learning, databases, security, and more.

The benefits of attending an AWS Immersion Day include gaining a deeper understanding of how to use AWS to solve business challenges, learning best practices and tips from AWS experts and other customers, and networking with peers to share knowledge and build relationships. Additionally, attendees may receive access to free credits and training resources to help them continue their learning after the workshop is over.

To participate in an Immersion Day, customers can work with their AWS account team to schedule a workshop that is tailored to their specific needs and goals. AWS also offers a range of pre-designed Immersion Day modules that customers can choose from, depending on their interests and business requirements.

AWS offers a wide range of Immersion Day workshops, covering various topics and services. Some of the Immersion Days currently offered by AWS include:

  1. AWS Machine Learning Immersion Day
  2. AWS Serverless Immersion Day
  3. AWS Databases Immersion Day
  4. AWS Security, Identity, and Compliance Immersion Day
  5. AWS Data Analytics Immersion Day
  6. AWS DevOps Immersion Day
  7. AWS Containers Immersion Day
  8. AWS IoT Immersion Day
  9. AWS Contact Center Immersion Day
  10. AWS Media Services Immersion Day

Note that this list is not exhaustive and AWS may offer additional Immersion Days or retire existing ones.

AWS Immersion Days are delivered by AWS Solutions Architects or other certified AWS experts who have deep knowledge and experience with the specific service or use case being covered. These experts are trained and certified by AWS to deliver Immersion Days and provide guidance and best practices to help customers learn and optimize their use of AWS services. AWS also partners with select AWS Consulting Partners who are authorized to deliver Immersion Days to their customers.

To deliver an AWS Immersion Day, the following steps are typically involved:

  1. Planning and Preparation: The AWS Solutions Architect or expert works with the customer to understand their specific needs and goals for the Immersion Day, and develops a customized agenda and hands-on exercises to meet those requirements.
  2. Delivery: The AWS Solutions Architect or expert delivers the Immersion Day either in-person or virtually, following the customized agenda and providing guidance, best practices, and real-world examples throughout the workshop.
  3. Follow-up: After the Immersion Day, the AWS Solutions Architect or expert may follow up with the customer to provide additional guidance or answer any questions that may have arisen during the workshop. They may also provide additional resources or training materials to help the customer continue their learning and optimize their use of AWS services.

It’s worth noting that AWS Immersion Days are typically customized to the specific needs of each customer, so the exact delivery process may vary depending on the customer’s requirements and the specific service or use case being covered.
